People need to understand that we have to be selective about which voting polls we prioritize because our resources are not limitless. We simply cannot push every nomination or voting event at the same level, especially when staying competitive in some polls requires a significant amount of money.
@StejayHarbor will always do its best to support polls that offer meaningful opportunities or substantial rewards for JL or Steven. KWDA is a good example. The reward goes beyond promotional exposure—winning also gives JL the opportunity to stand on stage and deliver a speech during the awarding ceremony. For polls where hundreds of thousands of pesos may be needed just to win an LED ad, however, we also have to ask whether that is the best use of our resources. If we can independently arrange an LED ad at the same location for a fraction of the cost, then sometimes that simply makes more sense.
SJH does have a voting team, but our VT is relatively small. Their organic grinding contributes, but naturally, its impact will be limited in polls where rankings are largely driven by large-scale paid voting. And just because SJH does not officially push a particular poll does not mean our VT members are prohibited from joining it. They are always free to participate in any voting event they want, even when the team is technically resting. So yes, SJH members may still be voting—we are simply not mobilizing the entire fanbase or allocating funds to every poll.
For STEJAY polls, we generally try our best to support as many as reasonably possible because opportunities for Steven and JL to be nominated and recognized together as a duo are much less common. But even then, we still have to consider the timing, competitiveness, resources required, and the value of the rewards.
UPICK is a good example of why we sometimes choose not to push. The poll came out while we were already heavily focused on JL’s KWDA campaign. Splitting our funds, voting power, and attention between two major polls at the same time could have weakened our chances in both. The main reward for UPICK was also an LED ad. For perspective, an ad at the same location can be arranged independently for several days for around ₱35,000, while a tight UPICK race can easily require more than ₱200,000 worth of votes. Given the timing and the reward, choosing not to push it made more sense to us.
Queeri is different. The votes are relatively more affordable, the rewards are more substantial, and most importantly, the poll started after JL’s KWDA campaign ended. We can therefore support it without directly dividing the resources we had committed to KWDA.
At the end of the day, choosing not to officially push a particular poll does not mean SJH is unwilling to support JL, Steven, or STEJAY. It means we are trying to be responsible and strategic with the resources people entrust to us. We would rather focus our time, effort, and funds on opportunities where we believe our support can genuinely make a difference and where the reward reasonably justifies what it would take to win.
Hindi porket may nomination, kailangan sugod agad. Sometimes supporting them well also means knowing which battles are worth taking on. 🤍
