USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
You’re going to be seeing a lot of Gemini placements changing major aspects of their lives such as their long term career, where they live, how they look, who they surround themselves with and even the identities they’ve attached to for years now that Uranus is in Gemini until about 2033.
A lot of Geminis are entering a period where staying the same will genuinely start to feel uncomfortable. The people, routines, jobs or versions of themselves that once felt familiar may suddenly feel limiting. This transit pushes experimentation, reinvention, movement and unpredictability.
"I did it My way."
I am so full of gratitude for the Survivor 50 experience.
Thank you Jeff, Matt, Jesse and company for bringing me back to play again.
Thank you to every member of the production crew. You all add so much to the experience and I miss you badly.
Cirie Fields shut down the possibility of ever playing Survivor again
"Oh no. I’m going to be 56 in July, Mike. And I started this when I was 35, a young whippersnapper on the “older ladies” tribe. They messed up. So no, I feel like I’ve gotten everything I need to get. I feel especially with my performance on Season 50, I feel like, what else? Listen, I’m not snubbing my nose at $2 million at all. However, Mike, I’ve gotten so much more than I bargained for in 20 years. I didn’t expect it to be next year after my first season. So to have a 20-year run and to be known as the best to have never won, all I hear is 'the best,' and that’s good enough for me."

Mamdani taxed the rich and suddenly libraries work, potholes get fixed, childcare exists, and workers get paid more.
That's why billionaires are losing it and want him gone!!!
From an alternate on Season 50 to cementing his legacy as one of the most entertaining players of all time
Love that Rick Devens is getting the credit he deserves

@QMB_4 Life is tough Q! My partner and I work in K-12 Education and we are struggling financially. Our jobs are incredibly stressful. I work with immigrant and refugee students in Minneapolis. I’m also struggling health wise.
