Kidney Week Maldives 2026 marks a special milestone—25 years of kidney services in the Maldives

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) remains a major public health challenge, often linked to diabetes, hypertension, obesity, smoking, inherited kidney disorders, infections and unhealthy lifestyles, and often progresses silently until advanced stages

Reduce the risk of CKD by controlling BP and blood sugar, reducing salt intake, staying active, avoiding tobacco, and regular health check-ups. Early detection and timely management are key to preventing complications and improving quality of life
