@MohamoudGaildon The visit changes nothing about Somaliland’s international borders nor its recognition. Eastern Sool region has been like that for about two years now and that didn’t halt int.recognition to pour! And FYI, there is nothing in int. Law prohibiting a single clan to form a govt.
@martinplaut The author approaches the issue from a narrow security lens and gets key facts wrong. Labeling Somaliland as secessionist and comparing it to Puntland or Sudanese militias reflects poorly on author’s shallow understanding of the historical and political context on the ground.
Today, President Trump announced the U.S. is leaving 66 anti-American, useless, or wasteful international organizations. Review of additional international organizations remains ongoing.
These withdrawals keep a key promise President Trump made to Americans - we will stop subsidizing globalist bureaucrats who act against our interests. The Trump Administration will always put America and Americans first.

Recognizing Somaliland isn’t charity — it’s strategy. It aligns with America’s security interests and the “America First” doctrine by strengthening an ally that shares our values in a region vital to global trade and counterterrorism.

Aside from some visible condemnations, nothing different what some countries already published online, as usual, nothing of significant importance that could change the trajectory of events were adopted
#UNSC#SomalilandRecognition
The UNSC was today full of bunch of talkative but teethless so called Arab leaders and few sympathizers- who understandably had their own vengeance against Israel.
The Arab leaders need to learn how to speak briefly and succiently instead of (see below)
coming with the tiring Arab league-like lengthy lectures.. And for the Somali representative, preservence and emotional intelligence could have saved you face. It will definetely make your leadership of the council “not easy” now that your anger management flaws were made visible
@aliade34120 You need to study a lot. Nothing of what you said is a pre-requisite. In fact a mere action or expression constitutes a formal recognition!
