As part of its continued support, the State of Qatar, through Qatar Fund for Development, has contributed to the launch of natural gas supplies from the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Syrian Arab Republic, via the pipeline connecting the Republic of Türkiye to Syria.

تنفيذاً لتوجيهات حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى واستكمالاً لدعم جهود دولة قطر للأشقاء بالجمهورية العربية السورية لقطاع الكهرباء ، يعلن صندوق قطر للتنمية البدء بالمرحلة الثانية بدعم الطاقة الكهربائية بطاقة استيعابية 800 ميجاواط. تأتي هذه المبادرة في إطار التعاون بين صندوق قطر للتنمية و وزارة الطاقة السورية.

وسيسهم هذا الدعم في رفع عدد ساعات تشغيل الكهرباء إلى 5 ساعات يوميًا، بما يعادل تحسنًا بنسبة 40% يوميًا لأكثر من 5 مليون مشترك في سوريا، كما يعزز استدامة الطاقة في المناطق التجارية والخدمية والمصانع.

In implementation of the directives of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, and as part of Qatar's continued support for the electricity sector in the Syrian Arab Republic, Qatar Fund for Development announces the launch of the second phase to support electric power with a capacity of 800 megawatts.This initiative comes as part of the collaboration between the Qatar Fund for Development and the Syrian Ministry of Energy.

This support will contribute to increasing electricity supply to 5 hours per day, representing a 40% daily improvement for more than 5 million subscribers in Syria. It will also enhance energy sustainability in commercial areas, factories, and service sectors.

Qatar Fund for Development, in collaboration with the Agence Française de Développement, organized a high-level workshop at the QFFD’s headquarters in Doha, attended by several prominent figures.
