People who spend long periods of time at home and slowly lose the desire to go outside often think they're just resting. But psychologically, many of them are experiencing something called mental rumination. It's a state where the brain starts slowing down while the number of thoughts inside keeps increasing and the motivation to do anything slowly disappears. The mind gets stuck in the past, worries about the future and burns itself out. This isn't laziness, it's a nervous system stuck in survival mode. And the longer it lasts, the more distant normal life begins to feel. And the difficult part is that you usually can't escape it through one massive burst of motivation. And sometimes,recovery starts with just one small step.

اٹھا لیا گیا تو کئی ہفتوں یا مہینوں تک کوئی خیر خبر نہیں تھی۔ نا تو وکیل سے رابطہ کروایا گیا اور نا ہی اہلخانہ سے ۔ اس دوران سختیوں اور پابندیوں کا تو کوئی تصور بھی نہیں کرسکتا۔ کافی وقت کے بعد پہلی مرتبہ گھر فون کرنے کی اجازت ملی۔ بتایا گیا کہ دو تین منٹ کی اس فون کال کے دوران کسی قسم کی سیاسی گفتگو نہیں کرنی۔ مہینوں بعد ہیلو کی آواز نے زار و قطار رلا دیا۔

کئی لوگوں سے بات ہوئی۔ بہت لوگوں سے پوچھا۔ ان کیساتھ مسئلہ کیا ہوا۔ کچھ لوگوں نے بتایا کہ تحریک انصاف آفیشلز نے اپنی گردن چھڑانے کے لیے ان کا نام دیا اور یہ امارات میں دھر لیے گئے۔ کچھ لوگوں نے یہ بتایا کہ انکی کچھ پوسٹس اماراتی حکومت کے راڈار میں آئیں جو ان کے لیے یہ مسئلہ بن گیا۔ جتنے منہ اتنی کہانیاں ۔ کچھ کا خیال ہے کہ تحریک انصاف انکے لیے کچھ نہیں کررہی۔ کئی لوگوں نے بتایا کہ تحریک انصاف نے کافی سفارت کاروں ، سابق وفاقی وزراء اور بیک ڈور چینلز کی مدد سے انکی جان چھڑانے کی کوشش کی لیکن ہر جگہ سے انکار ہوا۔

سلمان رضا بال بچے دار ہے۔ انکی اہلیہ کی پوسٹس دکھائی دیتی رہتی ہیں۔ جنید کے خاندان والے بھی روتے پیٹتے ہیں۔ ابھی پچھلے دنوں معلوم ہوا کہ ان کو مختلف طرح کے طبی مسائل ہے۔ بغیر بے ہوش کیے سلمان رضا کی ایک سرجری بھی کی گئی۔ ان کی صحت بھی دن بدن گررہی ہے۔

اب شاید دو تین سال ہوچکے۔ کتنی ہی عیدیں ان دو خاندانوں کی سسکیوں میں گزری ہوں گی۔ بوڑھے ماں باپ دن میں کتنی ہی مرتبہ روتے ہوں گے۔ ان بوڑھے والدین کی بہنوں اور اہلیہ کی بچوں کی سسکیاں اور بددعائیں عرش ہلائیں گی ، ہم یہ سب بے غیرتیاں کرنے والوں کے لیے زمین ہلاتے رہیں گے۔ ایک ��ن جنید گھر فون کرے گا اور پوچھے گا “ اس کا کیا بنا” اسے بتائیں گے “ وہ آگیا ہے “ ہم سوشل میڈیا کی طاقت سے عمران خان سے جو پہلا کام لیں گے وہ جنید اور سلمان کی رہائی کا لیں گے۔

Excellent suggestion. Look at the confidence and audacity it takes to blame PDM. He was the one running the government and his project, but now that everything has turned out to be a failure, he's putting all the blame on PDM. In an ideal democracy, where votes matter, even the PDM would outperform a military regime.

More new provinces will mainly benefit political dynasties:
• More family members become Ministers
• The rest secure Grade 22 posts, Provincial Secretary & Chief Secretary
• Extra court judges
• More downtown government offices & official mansions in downtowns of provincial capitals
• More cars, more protocol, more status
The only real problem? Roads permanently clogged. Current VIPs multiplied by 15 new provinces × judges + cabinet members + chief secretaries. Prepare for total road closures every time protocol passes.

We’ll need far higher taxes just to feed this growing appetite.

And the bigger truth: this will save the outmoded colonial system from real reform.

More provinces = postponing genuine local government and decentralisation for another 2–3 decades.

Surprisingly, people keep debating the number of provinces… instead of asking why we still refuse to fix the actual structure and genuine city based local government which is the need the hour!
