Our Africa Director, Paulin Basinga (@pbasinga) delivered the keynote address at #AidExNairobi on “Redefining the Role of Philanthropy: Reshaping Humanitarian–Development Partnerships in a Changing East African Landscape.”

The Foundation joined and engaged with the incredible community of humanitarian, development, private sector, and philanthropic leaders from around the world at the two-day convening.

For decades, development conversations have often centered on how much external assistance is available. Yet countries do not transform because of aid alone. They transform when they successfully mobilize and manage all of their assets: people, institutions, entrepreneurship, innovation, trade, investment, technology and partnerships.
