Islamists have a new home in America, and it’s the Democratic Party.

Not Muslims. Islamists - theocrats that want to usher in an Islamic state and slaughter the infidels. Mamdani recently sat through a prayer at a Mosque where they prayed for the death of all non-believers, meaning Christians, Jews, and atheists. Our party standard bearer sat there and prayed for the death of most Democrats.

It’s politically incorrect, but it’s still true. Every LGBT person I know is suspicious of the religious right and for good reason. They are remarkably hostile politically to our civil rights.

But according to polls, Christians are exponentially more tolerant of LGBT people than the average Muslim in America. Their culture openly loathes gay men and trans women, even more than the religious right does.

So why have we welcomed these hateful extremists into our political party?

Democrats can see how Fox News viewers fall for propaganda, but we are unable to see how we have fallen for Islamist propaganda about Israel defending itself in the aftermath of October 7th. This utterly fake storyline about Jews slaughtering babies, deliberately withholding aid and targeting civilians has somehow become something we believe when there’s no evidence for it.

And now, we have welcomed one of the most intolerant groups in human history into our party. And we’re letting them set our agenda. We’re not talking about universal healthcare anymore, we’re talking about creating a literal terrorist state that will be used to strike the only democracy in the Middle East that also happens to be the only Jewish state.

It’s insanity. It’s anti-American. And it has nothing to do with our values as Democrats.

If someone wants to worship Allah and be a Muslim, I 1000% support them. Freedom of religion is a bedrock of this country. But I will not pretend to not have anything but utter contempt for the theocratic version of Islam that seeks to conquer and subvert democracy. Democrats need to wake up because none of this Islamist bullshit has anything to do with what we believe in.

To Those Who Compare Gaza to the Holocaust

After years of suffering, starvation and disease in the ghettos, the Nazis offered desperate Jews a way out.

They promised them jobs and a better future. They told them they were being relocated to labor camps where they could support their families.

Believing they had finally found hope, the Jews boarded the trains. Those trains took them to extermination camps.

Upon arrival, they were told they would first take a “disinfection shower” before entering the work camp. The gas chambers were disguised as shower rooms.

Many only realized they had been deceived when the gas started flowing.

That was systematic, industrialized murder built on the intent to exterminate an entire people.

In Gaza, when Israel wants to target Hamas infrastructure, it evacuates entire neighborhoods in advance, even though this gives Hamas time to escape.

Israel does this specifically to minimize civilian casualties.

These two realities are fundamentally different.

Comparing them dishonors the memory of the victims of the Holocaust.

It sounds like a pretty garbled story.

Free Speech Union International, which is the umbrella group that FSU UK, FSU Australia, FSU New Zealand, FSU Canada, FSU South Africa and FSU Brazil sit within, has expressed interest in applying for grant funding from the US State Department. This would be to promote the right to freedom of expression in those countries, which, far from being a partisan cause, is a universal human right. But it hasn't submitted a formal application and, consequently, has been awarded no grant from the State Department or any other branch of the US Government.

You've mischaracterised the FSUs, all of which are non-partisan organisations that defend people who get into trouble for exercising their right to feee speech regardless of their political views. The FSU UK, for instance, is currently paying for the legal defence of a protestor who's being prosecuted for holding up a sign saying "I support Palestine Action", as well as a protestor for wearing a t-shirt at a Unite the Kingdom rally for saying "Fuck Islam Christ is King". Yes, we helped Lucy Connolly appeal her sentence -- we thought a prison sentence of over two-and-a-half years for a single tweet was excessive -- but we also tweeted yesterday, condemning the arrest of Heather Herbert and offering our support. Yes, we came to the defence of Nigel Farage when he was debanked, but we've also offered to help the Canary in its recent debanking case. So to describe the FSU UK as a "rallying point for anti-woke grievance" is misleading. We are a rallying point for those who want to defend the right to freedom of expression.
