شبم از بی‌ستارگی، شب گور
در دلم پرتو ستاره‌ی دور
آذرخشم گهی نشانه گرفت
گه تگرگم به تازیانه گرفت
بر سرم آشیانه بست کلاغ
آسمان تیره گشت چون پر زاغ
مرغ شب‌خوان که با دلم می‌خواند
رفت و این آشیانه خالی ماند
آهوان گم شدند در شب دشت

Yesterday morning, in my usual rush to get into the car, I noticed a little fluffy creature. From a distance, I thought it was just a pile of dried leaves. But only about 15 cm to the right of my back tyre lay a tiny, squashed ball of fluff. I panicked. 1/6

I thought about that little fledgling all day. Had the crows found them? Had their mother managed to save the survivor? When I got home, before parking the car, I checked the area straightaway. There was no sign of either of them. 5/6
