@domvIogs People pay for TV licences to fund the BBC. It doesn’t run ads & isn’t a subscription service. The Government decides the cost of the licence & although unconfirmed, they will freeze it-reducing the BBCs funding. The Culture Sec wants to ‘fund the BBC in new ways’ & scrap the fee
