Producer Madeon on working with Lady Gaga:
“She writes all the melodies, all the lyrics. She doesn’t have a team of songwriters, she’s the one who does it all. She has real production ideas, and she genuinely respects the people she works with.”
“The Fame” ties @billieeilish’s “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” as the longest charting international female album of all time in Germany. 🇩🇪
#24 (+10) The Fame [Week 326]
Allah Got Basic Science Wrong
If the Quran is the literal word of the God who created the universe, why does it contain basic scientific errors that every 7th-century Arab believed?
It says the Earth is flat and spread like a carpet, the sun sets in a muddy spring, and that semen comes from between the backbone and the ribs.
These are not metaphors. These are clear scientific mistakes.
Two billion people follow this book blindly, never questioning these obvious errors, and become violent when anyone points them out.
So here’s the simple truth:
Either the Creator of the universe doesn’t understand his own creation or the Quran was written by men of that time.
You shouldn’t be so certain about a book full of 7th-century scientific errors, and you definitely shouldn’t kill people for questioning it.
@BraveForGaga95 The last predicted eligible update for BTW (song) was 8x platinum so it could already be halfway to 9x platinum. I think Telephone & Paparazzi are around 8x platinum eligible and growing fast so expecting all three of these to hit diamond in the near future.
@BraveForGaga95 I think she’s eligible for TF 11x platinum, TFM 6x platinum, BTW 6x platinum, ASIB 4x platinum, ARTPOP/MAYHEM/Joanne/Chromatica 2x platinum (Joanne & Chromatica are very close). These numbers keep growing since she has consistently strong streams so BTW 10x will eventually happen
@ladygaganownet Gaga now has the 4th & 5th highest certified international female songs in Brazil’s history with DWAS & Shallow both over a decade into her career.
Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars' "Die With A Smile" has received a historic 11x Diamond certification in Brazil for selling 1.76 million units in the country.
Lady Gaga's 'MAYHEM' is now the highest-certified era by an international female artist in the country, with 3.2 million units sold.
@BraveForGaga95 That is truly insane. I think that puts it as the 4th highest certified international female song of all-time there behind We Found Love, Love Me Like You Do & Dark Horse. It’s also still growing so I think it’ll be 2nd eventually.
when the world cup was in qatar the host country asked to respect homophobia bc it was “their culture” but now the world cup is hosted in three countries that have same sex marriage i’m not seeing the “respect the host country culture”
FIFA will allow Pride flags at the Egypt vs. Iran World Cup match despite both nations calling for them to be banned.
“The FIFA World Cup is an inclusive event that welcomes people from all backgrounds. Fans of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome at matches and events.”
@BraveForGaga95@BraveForGaga95 this is the performance I was referring to. She loves a big vocal moment, but I find her voice so captivating when it’s more intimate, vulnerable, and understated. There’s a tenderness and emotional nuance in performances like this with haunting lows & restraint
@BraveForGaga95 Oh we have the same mind sometimes I fear because I really want her to utilise her lower vocals more. She did a Bad Romance performance with a lot of these haunting lows a few years ago. I think it was at one of her Jazz shows. I would love her to do that more.
