@Royals, thank you so much for some wonderful MidWest hospitality at tonight’s game against Cleveland - you made two guests from the UK/Ireland very happy! Such great fun, such friendly game-goers and such an amazing welcome from all the staff we met at Kauffman Stadium
@markarby Hi Mark, hope you’re okay. Might I use this photo as the cover of my book “The Wheels on the Bus Don’t Go Round and Round” - my magnum opus on alternative world theory where the Realeaux Triangle really took off?
@SurajG_ @bbcpress@BBCOne @SurajG_ - I’m all over it! 🤩 Seven alarms set, I’ll drink four espressos at half past noon on March 7, and this weekend will be spent practicing my click speed. Mouse or track pad, we need to find out which is faster, this is not a drill people!!
Me trying to rationally explain to my English colleagues why watching children mortifying themselves and a drunken studio audience receiving b-stock Christmas gifts for one-hundred-and-fifty minutes is at the core of my national pride. #LateLateToyShow
@LBC - interesting & necessary discussing on women falling out of the workplace. Quick thought, as women hit their forties, often not only the care of children but also the care of parents whose health begins to fail, becomes an additional family responsibility falling to women
@Skwen Now I’m very much a roaming Catholic these days but for the city that’s in it - I would say; I found the Vatican historically, culturally and politically fascinating - St John Lateran I found much more spiritual - just a wee opinion on an aul agnostic’s experience in Rome!
@Skwen The Eternal City! An absolute joy Judith - we stayed by the Piazza del Popolo, loved the Da Vinci Museum and had the meal of our lives in Osteria dell Oca - about 20 minutes walk from Trevi, we thought it was a wee find!
@LisaMMcGee what a beautifully written piece. In which it looked like Gerry had been saved from breaking bad news, but in the end, he broke the worst news we ever will have to break to our loved ones - maith thú a chara
A key difference between shopping in Ireland and shopping anywhere else. In Dublin Airport I can say to an incredibly elegant woman “come here to me, where did you get your fantastic dress?” and be told “right, go you onto to Karen Millen right now and you’ll get 10% off” - bliss
@LisaMMcGee Ach Seaneen, ach Lisa. We were never the shorthand - we were essays. Thank you for for the lighthouse on the hill to point to and say loudly; “that was us, where the dark is, there’s far more to be lit up.”
@SiobhanDonohue I wish I could click to support this rather than click a “heart” button Siobhan; the grit and glint you’ve shown in making the world a kinder place for whosever comes after absolutely should be preserved for generations yet to come
