Something clicked for me last week while I had a BTC long open on @grvt_io

I was watching the position from my phone, waiting for a level, and I noticed my idle balance was still ticking up in yield while the trade was live. Not after closing it. During it!

That's the thing GRVT 2.5 actually changed for me. I'm not moving capital between a yield account and a trading account anymore. It's one balance.

I deposited USDC, opened my position, and the collateral that wasn't being used as active margin was earning up to 11% in the background. I didn't set anything up. It just runs.

The mobile app is where I noticed this most clearly. The unified balance view shows your trading exposure and your yield position in the same screen.

I used to context-switch between a lending protocol and an exchange to do what GRVT now does in one place. That workflow is gone.

A few things I keep coming back to:

I. The negative maker rebates mean limit orders are actively paying me to provide liquidity rather than charging me. Combined with the yield on collateral, the cost of holding a position is genuinely different here than anywhere else I trade.

II. There's also a $250 referral deposit unlock, invite one person who trades at least $250 and you unlock the 11% yield tier. That's a real mechanic, not a vague points program.

III. The upcoming Aave partnership is what I'm watching closely. Aave's lending infrastructure behind the yield layer would make the 11% figure backed by the deepest stablecoin liquidity in DeFi. That changes the trust calculus for a lot of people sitting on the fence about committing serious capital here.

IV. $96M+ TVL, $200B+ cumulative perp volume, zero downtime since launch. The platform isn't new. The mobile experience for managing it all in one place is.

If your collateral isn't earning while you trade, that's just cost you're absorbing that you don't have to.
