There is an issue when it comes to TikTok's ability to communicate with transparency, consistency, and how they choose to treat their creators when something goes wrong.
If you’re a VTuber, editor, animator, or content creator, I’d pay attention to this.
As a developer myself there are some key points here:
- Yes the Sery_Bot Dev shouldn't have talked through the bot and giving the Streamer a scare making them think its hacked.
- In the Sery_Bot documentation it is not stated that the Dev does not talk through the bot. The bot is a moderation and safety tool for Twitch streams. The streamer has to authorize Sery_Bot access to be part of the stream like the streamelements bot and nightbot does. Making those two also viable of doing such a thing.
- This issue should of been resolved between the Streamer and the Sery_Bot Dev privately. There was no harm done and simply telling them to not do this again instead of making a big post about it, would of been the better outcome.
[Edit]
- I forgot to add one thing. As a streamer who has been hate raided before and being called slurs or being told to quit streaming. I cherish Sery_Bot's work and trust the Dev behind it.
