@lara_falh Deleted the game after the announcement. I was willing to give this game a chance again when he was announced, after quitting for a while and then they did this so yeah.
@Babybeet222 Yeah. It’s why I suspect there are internal office politics at play too because with all the demands, any sane person would’ve just gone ahead and released Valko. I mean, the market has spoken. Why not take the opportunity and go ahead with the demand?
@Babybeet222 Oh yes, absolutely we can’t know. That’s why I said it’s tinfoil hat-y. It’s just based on experience working in the industry. Powerplay happening in the hierarchy is not abnormal. Don’t take it so seriously though. It is just a theory of mine and nothing more.
@Babybeet222 Twitter word limit sucks. But anyways it is just a tinfoil hat-y theory because such office politics happens. Actually happened to one project where I work. Did not get out to the public but internally, a whole lot of drama unfolded to say the least.
@Babybeet222 This is tinfoilhat-y but if I were to think about how office politics works where I work, some stiff higher ups don’t like Valko, but the director in charge pushed for him. They relents begrudgingly and when the cow dungs came they used it as a ‘i told you so’ and cancelled him.
@AngieLeika@forlishen_ They cancelled the character due to a toxic fan backlash, and that speaks of a company that is used to just having a small community. They don’t understand their market is not just a handful of cow dung sending children and that’s very obvious.
@peachchocobo Oh for sure! This is the internet after all. Anything other than infold’s official announcements should always be considered with a grain of salt, even if it ended up being true. For our own sakes as well as others.
@peachchocobo I am really sorry for everyone who are getting the ups and downs from all the rumors and hearsay and whatnot. Please take care of yourself. 🙏
@peachchocobo Not to say the OP’s comment is real or not. Just that it is really hard to leave any sort of proof for the people in the dev team, unless they are ready to burn all bridges. Even so, everyone needs to be aware that this means it is harder to differentiate between rumors and facts
@AwoooVALKO@Lishoki Agreed. In a studio there will be those kind of people and our best strategy would be to let them eat that loss and grovel back to us instead of the other way around like they expect us to do.
@Diathemond Sadly, they’re privately owned. So if they decided they’d rather tank their revenue for a while, I don’t think anyone can stop them. Tanking 73% loss in revenue is crazy though 💀
@kazscomplaining I hate to say it but the way they handle things just makes me believe what I heard from fellow devs from cn. They are looking down on their customers, thinking people will eventually give up and everything will return to normal.
@aitaikimochi They are just taking the loss, thinking the boycott won’t last and people would return to supporting them back like nothing happened after a couple months lol. Horrible.
@Alpackaaa@oibaby1103 Yes. As a business they would still trademark their design. Being used or not they still spent money on it. And it’d allow for if they wanted to use it for a later project. Hope he comes back but this isn’t a definitive sign of it, just so people are aware.
@sylussweetiex@LoveDeepspaceJP Because they have a Japanese company run by the Japanese people and they tend to be extremely polite when dealing with customers. Even if their reply is still automated, it tends to be polite to a fault.
