Yesterday we had 2 ceremonial events happen!
We first started with our Wing Ceremony, which is to congratulate pilots in passing their flight school.
Then, We had our weekly RAF wide inspection, where this week we were inspected by the Prince of Wales as Honorary Air Commodore.
π¬π§ | This evening, pilots from across No.1 Group and the Royal Air Force took part in the fortnightly BAF wide inspection.
Air Vice-Marshal ChrisTrenchard inspected staff from across the RAF on behalf of the Chief of Air Staff.

π¬π§ | Recently, pilots from No.4 Flying Training School completed part of their basic flight training at RAF Lossiemouth. Pilots conduct practical flight training to improve and hone their skills as pilots before entering their main squadron for operational deployment.
Pilots from https://t.co/JnuQtMYcG8 Squadron participated in Operation Hammerhead today, as part of #armedforcesday2023.
Pilots were tasked with Air defense, and maintaining air superiority during a ground assault.
This evening, pilots from AC Squadron carried out carrier deployment training in the British Indian Ocean Territory onboard HMS King Daniel the 1st.
No.1 Group are constantly training, to perform better each day!

This evening the Lieutenant of the Tower of London, ChrisTrenchard CBE KFSM, inspected members of the Royal Air Force alongside Air Vice-Marshal LiamTAldana MBE at the Tower of London.
Yesterday, New pilots of No.1 Group attended a Wing Ceremony. Where they were given their fast jet wings!
Their wings were presented to them by The Prince of Wales.
π¬π§ | This evening, Air Vice-Marshal ChrisTrenchard spectated a QRA shift at RAF Lossiemouth.
During this time, aircraft were deployed to intercept a illegal aircraft flying in restricted air space, and defended themselves from attack.

No.1 Group has a variety of operational aircraft, one of which is the P-8 Poseidon.
This aircraft is a anti-submarine warfare aircraft, meaning it can seek and destroy submarines. This aircraft is currently operated by 13 Squadron.
This evening, pilots from across the Royal Air Force attended a Red Arrows tryout at RAF Lossiemouth.
The lucky few pilots will be selected this weekend by Red 1 and Red 2.
Later this evening, Air Commodore ChrisTrenchard announced the re-opening of the RAF Acrobatic Display team (More commonly known as the Red Arrows).
This display team will be lead by F/SGT Amazingzane06 as RED 1. He will in the coming days select pilots to join the team.
