The @UPS nightmare continues π€£
After multiple attempts trying to deliver to our business address, after hours for some reason, I then told them to move it to their "access point" so I can collect it...
I then get "Unable to deliver to UPS access point" π«
It's then returned to the Manchester depot, where for some completely unknown reason it's now been moved up to Preston π€£
Is it just us who gets these sorts of shenanigans?
"A huge loss to UK airport infrastructure" π
Coventry Airport is officially closing to allow the construction of a Β£2.5 billion battery manufacturing facility. The site will be redeveloped into the West Midlands Gigafactory, a facility designed to produce lithium-ion batteries for the United Kingdom automotive industry. Local council officials project the development will create up to 6,000 direct jobs and physically replace the entire footprint of the existing aviation infrastructure.
The airport originally opened in 1936 and operated as a Royal Air Force fighter station during the Second World War. In more recent decades, the site functioned as a base for general aviation, cargo transport, and budget passenger flights.
A spokesperson for the West Midlands Gigafactory joint venture stated in a public release that the approved planning permission will allow them to "deliver the batteries required to supply the regional automotive sector" as the manufacturing of internal combustion engines decreases.
