Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, dream, and thrive. As we commemorate the 2026 International Children’s Day, I reaffirm my commitment to supporting initiatives that promote child welfare, quality education, healthcare, girl-child empowerment, and the protection of vulnerable children across Plateau State.
I congratulate our children on this special occasion and encourage them to believe in themselves, dream big, stay focused, shun negative influences, and pursue excellence in all they do. The future belongs to them, and we must continue to create an environment where they can reach their full potential.
I also commend our teachers and caregivers for their sacrifices, dedication, and the vital role they play in nurturing and shaping the minds and character of our children.
Today’s celebration was filled with joy and learning, featuring the cutting of the Children’s Day cake, cultural dance performances, presentation of party packs, and an engaging debate on the topic: “Parents play a bigger role than government in promoting child inclusion.”
Together, we will continue to build a Plateau where every child is valued, protected, and empowered to succeed.
