Passport-size 折叠, 或者按照国内说的阔折叠, 之前长期存在的担忧就是垂直空间不足.
iOS 26 那会做透明 UI 的时候, 从可变 Dock 栏+半透明, 让 iPhone SE 的可用屏幕空间大幅度提升这点, 加上全屏滑动返回的推广, 就可见苹果在下决心从 HIG 范式层面解决这个问题.
从结果来说, 苹果确实是下了很大的决心, 把状态栏和Dock底栏完全移动到了右边, 重做了状态图标和灵动岛. 就连顶栏都移动到了右边, 把垂直空间完全释放了出来.
以及这样还有个重要的作用, 就是强制未适配应用不要用掉整个屏幕宽度, 导致列表元素出现恐怖的拉伸.
更聪明的是, 这样对右手惯用手的用户来说, 点击返回/切换 Dock/点击搜索等操作都可以在右手单手完成. 当然这也是因为 TouchID 在右侧. 因此对原生框架的应用来说, 调整顶栏底栏自适应到右侧算是第一优先的事项.
而外屏左手持握的话, 还是能用全屏/侧边返回, 以及借助 Apple Watch 解锁来兜底.
内屏方面的话, 展开动画也非常惊艳, 而且视觉上保持了相当的连贯.
更聪明的是, 展开状态下左边分屏的 App, 交互按钮也在左边, 方便左手直接按到.
可以说这套设计上的创新, 足以让另外两家抢时间发阔折叠行为显得非常小丑.
另外芯片上, N2 工艺带来了 40% 级别的持续性能, 特别是GPU性能, 加上VC 均热板, 这对厚度受限的折叠屏设计来说是非常重要的. 可以说目前市面上的阔折叠都无法与之抗衡.

The “saves lives” argument is strong, but I think it is a horrible precedent, no matter what you gain, when you directly target civilians.
