@theRichardHogan @MaryButlerTD @DonnellyStephen Many children and their families suffer the equivalent of ptsd following their years of so called care with CAMHS. It's criminal but their families are fighting often to keep them alive they don't have time or energy left to employ solicitors so CAMHS can continue as they are.
@Reform_of_Camhs@JenniferHRos@MaryButlerTD A load of codswallop trying to blame families yet again. Does the blame game ever stop. Enlightenment and openess might encourage the recruitment of staff who want to actually help create a better service. Until there is real oversight and accountability nothing will change.
@SaoirsePeri It's hard enough being a woman, mother and a carer. The wording did nothing to benefit women, single parent families or protect their interests. The first one laid it open for if a divorced woman invited someone to cohabit they could then have a claim on her & her children's home.
We're asking Government not to defer @sinnfeinireland private members bill to regulate #CAMHS
For our families..and for our children.. this shouldn't be an issue that causes political division..urgent regulation and oversight is required
We need a safe service for our children
@GarNob All CAMHS services should be under the HSE so they can be linked with other services. SJOG has been allowed to fail so many auric children and their families causing horrendous suffering.
@GarNob@thejournal_ie The inability for CAMHS to work with Disability services has created horrendous situations for families and only serves to increase severe anxiety and depression in autistic children. My kids want me to sue but it will cause even more suffering.
This is deeply troubling. History teaches us never to trust those who attack books. Libraries are spaces in which everyone should feel not just welcome but represented.
So @corkcitylibrary forced to close its door today. Public libraries are the most democratic of institutions. They are for EVERYONE. A handful of people cannot be permitted to shut them down. Guard our democracy. Support your library & the staff. https://t.co/RcparPDdkj
@NellydaSilla @lindafennessy Too right, I almost lost my child like her Shane during first lockdown. I'll never fully get over it and she was already fragile. Trying to get our CAMHS files investigated but nothing.
Thanks to @IrishMailSunday for giving me the opportunity to write about Autistic burnout in today’s paper - an important topic which is not widely understood.
