Thank you, Rahul ji, for your concern and constant support. We stand united and resolute in our fight to protect the soul of India, defend its democratic institutions and uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution.

Last year, I travelled across five countries representing India as part of the all-party delegation for Operation Sindoor. I defended my country and stood united against terrorism.

Today, I stand as a victim of political violence and state sponsored terrorism unleashed by those who claim to be the guardians of nationalism.

This is the reality of today’s BJP. If you support them, you are a patriot. If you question them, you become a target. If you stand with them, you are celebrated. If you stand against them, they try to silence you.

I would rather face intimidation while defending democracy than enjoy comfort by surrendering my principles.

Power is temporary. The will of the people is permanent. I will bow only before the people, never before the people in power.

We will continue our fight against those who seek to weaken democracy and divide our nation. INDIA STANDS UNITED and together, we will ensure that the politics of fear, hatred, violence and intimidation is defeated, and that the voice of the people prevails.

Those who were once banished from their own home state and declared ‘tadipar’ are now coming to Bengal and openly threatening our people to stay indoors on 23rd and 29th. Following their leader’s cue, BJP’s লেঠেল বাহিনী is going door-to-door, terrorising ordinary citizens and threatening Trinamool Congress workers.

It has come to my notice that these goondas barged into the residence of a Trinamool Congress supporter in Sabang, Sathi Gorai Kuila, and abused and intimidated her in the presence of her two-year-old daughter. BJP, drunk on arrogance, seems to believe that bullets and terror can achieve what ballots cannot.

But Bengal has the perfect antidote. And that antidote will be administered democratically, by the people themselves. I openly challenge the Bangla-Birodhi Bohiragotos to be here, in Bengal, on the 4th of May, when that happens. There will be Rabindrasangeet. There will be DJ music. Make sure you don’t miss it.

BJP has waged a war on Bengal.

They have turned the greatest festival of democracy into what can only be described as a military occupation. The Prime Minister. The Home Minister. The entire Modi Cabinet. The senior-most BJP leadership, including Chief Ministers of 16 states. The ED, CBI, NIA, and Income Tax Department. Over 2 lakh Central Force personnel. The Godi Media. The entire Observer apparatus. And above all, a weaponised Election Commission of India.

All of this, for what? To defeat one woman. A woman in plain sarees and chappals, backed by nothing but the love and resolve of 10 crore people. And still, they are failing. Unable to compete politically, they reach for the gutter. The result? Roadside rowdy-romeo language like "Ei Didi", the desperate vocabulary of men who know they have already lost. It is a window into their frustration. All that money, all that muscle, all that machinery, and still no match for the power of the people.

It is this unassailable, indomitable power that will carry our Maa-Mati-Manush party to a historic fourth term.

BJP wants to run this country the way the Gestapo ran Nazi Germany. And Bengal is their testing ground.

Able state government officials have been replaced with BJP loyalists, empowered to conduct unwarranted searches and seizures against our leaders and workers. Central investigative agencies have been unleashed to silence and intimidate. Companies of Central Forces have been deployed with a free rein to do whatever it takes to manufacture an advantage for BJP.

And overseeing it all, an obsequious Election Commission that has offered BJP its unquestioning loyalty at every step. The full machinery has been summoned for one purpose. To defeat one woman. Except she is not alone. Behind her stand 10 crore people of Bengal and lakhs of Trinamool Congress workers who have chosen this fight with full knowledge of what it costs and full conviction in what it means.

On this sacred day, when the Bangla calendar turns its page and a new year begins with the fragrance of the season and the warmth of togetherness, I extend my heartfelt wishes to everyone. শুভ নববর্ষের আন্তরিক প্রীতি ও শুভেচ্ছা।

Today, repeated attempts are being made to weaken Bengal. To malign it. To break its spine. To ridicule our language, mock our culture, dictate our food habits, insult our icons and torment our people into submission. They do not know Bengal.

This is a land that has faced every indignity history has thrown at it and emerged, each time, not merely intact, but stronger. The unconquerable spirit of Bengal has outlived every force that sought to diminish it. It will outlive this one too.

We will not be broken. We will not bow. We will prevail. Collectively. Proudly. As one.

On Poila Boishakh, I offered my prayers at Kalighat, seeking strength, clarity, and resolve for the path ahead. In the divine presence of Maa Kali, I prayed not just for personal strength, but for the well-being of every citizen of Bengal, for peace, dignity, and unity to prevail across our land. This sacred moment is a reminder that our journey is not merely political; it is a responsibility towards protecting harmony, upholding justice, and safeguarding the rights of our people.

There are forces that seek to disturb this balance, to divide and weaken the social fabric of Bengal. But with the blessings of Maa Kali, and with faith in the people, we will stand firm against every such attempt. We will not allow hatred to overshadow harmony, nor vested interests to derail Bengal’s progress.

This is a fight for truth. A fight for the rights and dignity of every Bengali. A fight to ensure that the future of our state remains secure, inclusive, and just. With Maa Kali’s blessings guiding us, we will continue this journey with even greater determination and strength.

If you think Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, or Yogi Adityanath are BJP’s trump cards in Bengal, you are sorely mistaken. The real trump card fighting for BJP from the shadows is the Chief Election Commission. BJP calls the shots, and the Election Commission obediently follows orders.

Hundreds of companies of Central Forces, who would be far more useful in Pahalgam, Delhi, Manipur, or Noida, have been deployed in Bengal. Now they have been specifically instructed to single out Trinamool Congress protectees, including my own family.

Do whatever you want. Target whoever you want. But remember that your stay in Bengal is limited to exactly 19 days. Those Gujarat babus who are threatening our party workers to stay indoors today won’t be seen in Bengal even for an hour after the results are declared.

That’s not a threat. That’s a CHALLENGE.

BJP wants to bring their Talibani mindset to Bengal. The "Poriborton" they promise is REGRESSION OF THE DARKEST KIND. A Bengal where women receiving Lakshmir Bhandar are caged inside their homes. Where people's houses are razed by bulldozers. Where frenzied mobs run riot, destroying everything in their path. Where there are bans on what people eat, what they wear, who they love, and which faith they practise.

I see no difference between those who vandalised Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's bust and those who vandalised Buddha statues in Afghanistan. The contempt is identical. Only the geography has changed. So fierce is BJP's hatred for Bengal that they seek to bow this land into subjugation through TYRANNY, COERCION, INTIMIDATION, and HUMILIATION.

But they do not know Bengal. Bengal is a free land. A proud land. A land that would embrace the gallows before it polishes the boots of oppressors. The Bangla-birodhi Zamindars will learn that the hard way. This election will be their lesson.

In Bengali we have a popular saying,
“স্যাকরার ঠুকঠাক, কামারের এক ঘা!” BJP has subjected Bengal to repeated acts of hostility, blow after blow against this land and its people.

They have deliberately withheld the people’s rightful funds. They have persecuted and tormented Bengali-speaking brothers and sisters in BJP-ruled states. They have insulted our icons, belittled our culture, banned our food habits, questioned the legitimacy of our language, and above all, conspired to rob the people of their democratic voice.

For all these continuous acts of aggression and humiliation, what BJP will receive on the 4th of May is one single, decisive, thundering strike so powerful that it will bring their entire castle of illusions crashing down to the ground. This one strike will humble the arrogant Bangla-Birodhi Zamindars who think they are invincible. This one strike will remind these obnoxious overlords that no matter how much power they capture in Delhi, the ultimate power always rests with the people.

Mark my words. BJP’s downfall in Bengal is written in the stars.

The arrest of Vinesh Chandel, co-founder of I-PAC, barely 10 days before the Bengal elections, is not just alarming- It shakes the very idea of a level playing field.

At a time when WB should be moving toward free and fair elections, this kind of action sends a chilling message: If you work with the opposition, you could be next. That’s not democracy- that’s intimidation!

What makes it even harder to ignore is the double standard. Those facing serious corruption allegations seem to find protection the moment they switch sides, while others are swiftly targeted at politically convenient moments. People are not blind to this anymore.

When institutions meant to protect democracy start feeling like tools of pressure, trust begins to erode. On one side, the Election Commission. On the other, agencies like the ED, NIA, CBI stepping in at the most sensitive time. It creates an atmosphere of fear, not fairness.

India has always taken pride in its democracy- loud, messy but free. But today, many are beginning to ask: are we still that country?

This is bigger than one arrest. It is about whether our institutions remain independent and whether every citizen, no matter their political belief, can participate without fear.

Because once fear replaces freedom, democracy becomes just a word.

To Amit Shah and the BJP’s power structure- Be in Bengal on the 4th and 5th of May. Come with Gyanesh Kumar and every agency you deploy. Bengal will not be bullied, will not be silenced and will not bow. This is a land that answers pressure with resistance and it will show you exactly what that means!

A brave Bengali BSF Jawan from Malda, serving in the 170 Battalion posted in Ukhrul district of Manipur, was martyred in militant firing. He has left behind his wife and children. Those who lecture Bengal about “PORIBORTON” should first turn their gaze towards Manipur.

The Prime Minister and his Home Minister have all the time in the world to campaign in Bengal, but not a single minute to visit Manipur and bring a lasting solution to the ethnic violence that has been raging for three long years. Nearly 300 people have been killed. Tens of thousands have been displaced and injured.

Before you scream “PALTANO DORKAR” in Bengal, Mr. Modi and Mr. Shah do something meaningful for the hapless people of your “ASHTALAKSHMI” state.

Unable to withstand the unconquerable zeal and fighting spirit of the people of Bengal, even the British were forced to shift India’s capital from Kolkata back to Delhi. Today, we have the modern-day reincarnations of Reginald Dyer and George Curzon, sitting in Delhi and trying to rule Bengal through remote control.

Sorry to disappoint you, colonial neo-zamindars. Bengal will remain in the hands of its own daughter. Bengal will never be dictated by the whips of Delhi’s Zamindars. You may have underestimated us, but we Bengalis are a proud race. We do not bend. We do not kneel before any oppressive force.

For every act of insult, every humiliation, every exploitation and every persecution you have inflicted on Bengal, you will receive a massive 440-VOLT JHATKA on the 4th of May. Be ready. Your democratic funeral procession in Bengal has already begun.

At Kharagpur, I addressed internal review meetings for Medinipur and Ghatal with the leaders and devoted party workers who are the backbone of Trinamool Congress.

I said to them plainly that the end is in sight, but that is precisely when complacency becomes the greatest danger. We have fought for the people. We have been on the ground, in every lane, every village, every home. That momentum must not slow. Not in these final days. Not when everything is at stake.

Because let us be absolutely clear about what this election is. This is a battle for Bengal's identity, for the dignity, rights, future, and very existence of its people. This is a fight against communal forces that are conspiring, with cold deliberation, to sow disharmony in a land that has always stood for peace and coexistence.

We must remain united. We must carry the message of peace and prosperity to every single home. We must dismantle their designs with the one weapon they cannot counter. The organised, resolute, and unified will of the people. Trinamool Congress is the only political force that has stood firm against BJP's assault, time and again. We have resisted before. We will resist again. We will prevail.

It is as strange as it is revealing that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah seem to locate Bengal on the map only when elections are around the corner. They descend upon Bengal with their suitcases of lies, their entourages of cameramen and teleprompters, delivering rousing sermons and grand promises. And then, without exception, they vanish without a trace.

But where are they when North Bengal is ravaged by floods? When legitimate citizens are served NRC notices by Foreigners Tribunals? When genuine voters are harassed, humiliated, and disenfranchised? When tea garden workers are denied their Provident Fund dues by the Central Government? When people are shot dead in cold blood by Central Forces?

Nowhere. Because they were never here for the people. They were here for the votes. It is only Trinamool Congress that has stood beside the people, in every crisis, at every hour, without condition and without calculation. The Bangla-Birodhi Zamindars DEMAND your votes without DELIVERING anything in return. Our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar DELIVERS without DEMANDING anything in return.

That was, is, and will always be the fundamental difference between us. And that is exactly why the people of Natabari, Jalpaiguri, and Kumargram will place their trust in Joraphool candidates Shri Sailen Barma, Shri Krishna Das, and Shri Rajeev Tirkey. They have made their decision known.

The battle for 2026 is a battle between two RCs.

On one side is the BJP’s RC. Their REMOTE CONTROL to halt Bengal’s rightful funds, disenfranchise legitimate voters through SIR, sow seeds of chaos and communal disharmony, misuse Central Agencies, Central Forces, and democratic institutions, label Bengalis as “Rohingya” and “Bangladeshi” while tormenting innocent migrant workers, repeatedly insult our culture, our icons, our food habits, and our long-held customs. Their Remote Control blares loudspeakers to amplify lies, but goes completely mute when Bengal’s sovereignty and interests are threatened.

On the other side is Trinamool Congress’s RC. Our REPORT CARD. Fifteen glorious years of Unnayon without any help from the Centre. A Report Card of work done, promises kept, dreams realised, and lives transformed. Janasabha covering Jalangi and Domkal in support of Babar Ali and Humayun Kabir (Ex-IPS), the powerful roadshow covering Harishchandrapur and Chanchal for Md. Matebur Rahman and Prasun Banerjee, and the janasabha in Siliguri for Goutam Deb have put the writing clearly on the wall.

The Remote Control is finished in this land. The Delhi Zamindars can keep pressing buttons from afar. But Bengal will decide its future, with pride, with resolve, and with the Joraphool.
