@he3ef@Nebraskademsoc@AlaskanPolitics Saw someone write on Sheriff Koxlien's FB page that they are a Dem, but voted in the GOP primary to vote for her. Also interesting in that Andy Manske, who ran against Tiffany in the gov primary, did better in places where their was a Republican sheriff race. Dems for Manske lol.
@Nebraskademsoc This must be for Congress because Pocan doesn't have a GOP opponent. Sauk County also had a 5-way GOP primary for Sherriff, which, while it looks like Dems still outvoted them, it wasn't by this much.
@ChrisETeigen Was sad when Tim Russert died. Was sad when Robin Williams died. Other than those, I don't usually get sad over celebrity deaths. But this one hits different and harder.
@xolotl9x@BlueCheese608 Lol no. Rs had statewide races on their ballot (yea, not really important ones), but also had contested primaries for Sheriff in a number of counties like Juneau, Marquette, Trempealeau, Waukesha, Polk, Chippewa, Sauk (5way race!) And maybe other I'm not aware of. GOP voted GOP.
@DrewSav There's a contingent of Democrats in WI-03 for whatever reason that don't like Cooke. She surprised everybody by coming in 2nd in 2022. Katrina Shankland almost beat her in 2024, and now Berge is doing well against her.
@Nebraskademsoc@Nebraskademsoc, agreeπ―. I've seen a lot of Berge signs in the rural areas south of La Crosse. These areas aren't so blue that houses without Berge signs are automatic Cooke voters- they are most likely GOP. I think Berge does better than most people think she will.
@yumtapwater I wanna say like $5.99. Totally worth it though. They bring them out onto the sales floor at the creamery and they are warm and squeaky and delicious.
