I tried everything to save him. He was 39 years old. His oncologist one day looked at us and said "I've ordered his treatment, but we need to be sure it is paid for" and he trailed off, because profit before patients, amirite? #cancer #healthcare

I spent a month and a half trying to get him the correct insurance. Even after I did, I was told it was shit and covered literally nothing. 2 days after obtaining ACA coverage for him, and one day after he was told he was too weak for chemo, he passed.

I'm sorry I haven't been around. My husband passed away on the 10th, a disturbingly short 40 days after his diagnosis of stage 4 esophageal cancer. I have been a mess.
