Android 14 on Google Chromecast is a disaster. What was once a rock solid workhorse is now a worthless piece of junk, requiring a device restart before every use in order to be usable. Suffering from wifi issues for several months now on 4 devices all across the house.

TCL's 2024 lower-end 40S5402A TV only has a 2.4GHz wifi chipset. I spent hours troubleshooting why it won't see my IoT SSID. I can't believe how in this day and age they would cut production costs this way. Don't get me wrong tho, they make good stuff. But buyers beware!

Since yesterday 4/12 at 12:20pm, internet is very slow on PLDT fiber at 15 to 20% packet loss.

But from 4:45pm yesterday, 4/14, problem seems to have been remedied. Packet loss is now 0%, RTT back to normal values. BGP rerouting perhaps?

MNL is back "Operational" since 1320H. Ping now at normal levels ~6ms.
