Gonna start a research project about the economics of higher-ed design (e.g salaries, research/project funding, industry partnerships, etc.) Trying to understand constraints that limit imagination of alternative models...
@drstefdirusso Nice work as always! After dwelling on this for a bit, I’m wondering about ceilings. At risk of stretching the metaphor too far...maybe the problem is the “building” we’re in? Rather than climb the existing, what if we make a new one? Or tear apart the old and renovate?
@georgeaye Amazing start and thanks for sharing the syllabus! A few that have been on my mind: What does it feel like to navigate difference in design? What does responsible design look like in day-to-day practice? What are the ultimate ends we’re trying to achieve?
Excited for this podcast to broaden and challenge my understanding of design(s). Time to step back and listen to important voices from around the world:
En el ✨🎧 #teaser de hoy 🎧✨ del Ep.1 tenemos a Mariana Salgado @Salgado quien nos habla de las diferencias entre trabajar como diseñador de forma externa y de forma interna en una organización. Escucha aquí 👉 [Video Teaser] #designpodcast@cmudesign@podsdiseno
@ManuelaAguirreU This article is a good intro to Agger Eriksson’s work - https://t.co/OuY9agJdle, but you might also like her dissertation: https://t.co/OuY9agJdle
@ManuelaAguirreU Sure thing! The initial Buur & Matthews article is here: https://t.co/ijTK4OHw6I, but there’s now a conference as well - https://t.co/38dRb9t7Y1
@ManuelaAguirreU Just came across your article, cool stuff! Curious if you’re familiar with work on participatory innovation by Buur and Matthews (and others)? Also the work of Agger Eriksen could be the relevant if you haven’t come across it :)
