The husband and wife have been living separately for nearly 36 years. The wife had also filed a 498A case against the husband, which she later settled after taking money. The husband obtained a divorce through the court, where he was directed to pay a one-time alimony of ₹10 lakh.

Now that the husband is retiring from his job, the parasitic ex-wife has once again approached the court. And the court has ordered the husband to pay her another ₹40 lakh. What is worth noting is that these ₹40 lakh were earned by the husband through a lifetime of hard work.

This is a very pathetic and illogical order. The noteworthy point in this case is that the husband died in 2012, and the wife is seeking an increase in the maintenance amount nearly 14 years after his death. According to the law, wives have no responsibilities in a marriage. Even after a man's death, the law, the courts, and disgruntled wives continue to treat him like a plastic ATM card.
