Inside me are two wolves; one really enjoys the concept of the backrooms staying the same through history, as it presents an odd "chicken or egg" dilemma. the other really enjoys the idea that the backrooms evolved as human perceptions of fear and society evolved.
Fantastic idea honestly. It gives purpose to the "entities" rather than just throwing a monster in the labyrinth for cheap scares.
Also, you can eat them.
To me this chase is some of De Niro's best acting. He actually looks like he's overwhelmed and concentrating, really trying to drive the car, not like an actor trying to look cool for the camera.
