For years I've been really good at using dissatisfaction as fuel...

If I wanted more money, I'd work harder

If the business wasn't where I wanted it, I'd figure out what to improve

If there was another level available, I could usually find a reason why I needed to get there faster

That mindset has helped me a LOT

But I don't think I want it running my entire life.

Last week was slower, and instead of immediately filling the empty space, I spent more time with my wife, worked on our apartment, talked to my parents, sat around thinking, and just enjoyed the fact that things are going well!

Spoiler: Nothing bad happened because I stopped pushing for five seconds 😂

Raising your rate does two things at once, and only one of them is about money...

The first is the number

The second is that a certain kind of client stops replying, and you have to be okay with that!

My first rates were the price I agreed to because I was scared

Everything after that was the price of the work I actually believed in

Being paid what you're worth is the OUTCOME

Getting to say what you're worth without needing the answer to be yes is the SKILL 🥲
