The ASG and Head of @UNSOS_🇺🇳, Aisa Kacyira (@AKacyira), met with @SwedAmbSomalia Joachim Waern, to thank 🇸🇪 for its SEK 10 million (💲900,000) contribution to the #UNSOS Somali Security Forces (SSF) #TrustFund in 2024.

UNSOS SSF Trust Fund provides non-lethal support to #SSF including rations, communications equipment, tents, and medevac.

The ASG and Ambassador reaffirmed #UNSOS and #Sweden's joint commitment and continued #partnership to #support #Somalia’s security transition and building the capacity of SSF.

This morning, Minister @NsanzimanaSabin and Amb Minata SAMATE CESSOUMA, the Commissioner for Health, and Social Development at the African Union inaugurated the new Africa Medicines Agency (AMA) headquarters in Rwanda, marking a significant milestone for healthcare on the continent. The handover included a fully equipped building, vehicles, and essential resources to support AMA's mission. Selected as host nation at the 2022 AU Summit, Rwanda will facilitate AMA’s pivotal role in standardizing and regulating medicines across Africa.
