Is GST an over-regulated law?
In my humble view, YES, to an extent, especially for ITC provisions..!!
But what are reasonable restrictions as per the Honourable Supreme Court wrt Article 19(1)(g).. let's dive deep.

Understanding Panchak in Financial Astrology
A Practical Breakout Trading Approach
One of the most common misconceptions about Panchak is that it is inherently bullish or bearish. In reality, Panchak is neither.
It is simply a time window during which the market often establishes an important trading range. The eventual direction is determined only after the market breaks out of that range.
The Panchak Rule
During the five days of Panchak -
- Mark the highest high.
- Mark the lowest low.
- The difference between these two levels becomes the Panchak Range.
Panchak Range = Panchak High − Panchak Low
Once Panchak ends, wait patiently for the market to break either side of this range before taking a directional view.
Trading Principle
Bullish Breakout
If the Panchak High is broken:
- Treat it as a bullish breakout.
- Consider long positions only after confirmation.
- A commonly used projection is:
Target = Panchak High + Panchak Range
Bearish Breakdown
If the Panchak Low is broken -
- Treat it as a bearish breakdown.
- Consider short positions only after confirmation.
- A commonly used projection is:
Target = Panchak Low − Panchak Range
Why This Approach Works
Panchak often represents a period during which the market consolidates and builds energy within a defined range. Instead of trying to predict the next move, this approach allows the market to reveal its intention through price action.
The breakout itself becomes the confirmation.
The underlying principle is straightforward -
- Do not assume Panchak is bullish.
- Do not assume Panchak is bearish.
- Identify the five day trading range.
- Wait for confirmation.
- Trade only in the direction of the confirmed breakout or breakdown.
Example -
Suppose the market records the following levels during Panchak -
- Panchak High - 25200
- Panchak Low - 24800
Panchak Range = 400 points
Scenario 1 - Bullish Breakout
If the market breaks above 25200 -
- Enter after confirmation.
- Initial projected target - 25600 (25200 + 400)
Scenario 2 - Bearish Breakdown
If the market breaks below 24800 -
- Enter after confirmation.
- Initial projected target - 24400 (24800 − 400)
Points to Remember -
- Panchak is a time cycle, not a directional indicator.
- The five day High and Low become the key reference levels.
- The first decisive breakout or breakdown often determines the market's direction.
- The Panchak Range provides an objective framework for projecting potential targets.
- Patience is essential. Always wait for confirmation rather than anticipating the move.
Conclusion -
The true strength of Panchak analysis lies in discipline and patience. Rather than attempting to forecast whether the market will rise or fall, allow the five day range to define the battlefield. Once either boundary is decisively breached, the market often reveals its next meaningful move.
Remember, this is not a standalone trading system or a holy grail. It is a practical framework for identifying potential price objectives after a confirmed breakout or breakdown.
For best results, combine it with your existing technical or fundamental analysis to seek dual confirmation before taking a trade.
Above all, risk management should always remain your highest priority.
