@OccupyDemocrats @dbactnow Rhodes is serving a Federal prison term. There is an 85% rule that dictates how long he must serve before parole can be considered. He has to serve at least 15+ years in prison then another 3 years of supervised release. Rhodes will be almost as old of TFG is now when he’s free.

@LakotaMan1 I no longer celebrate the 4th as I did when I was a kid. The hatred towards “them” has destroyed what it used to mean. I do miss the fireworks so now celebrate New Year’s with my family in Fairbanks. The bursts of light brighten a dark time of the year and give me hope.

@1drcole This will probably only apply to Florida divorces and alimony. Fortunately, Florida has no power to determine, change or limit decrees from other states. So a New York or Kansas decree remains valid if and when you move to Florida.

@lisamowmow I was able to use my education to find a job that I loved. We were 1 of the few counties in the state that kept our union (SEIU). As a result I get a small pension which augments my SS. I’ll pay off my loan if it takes another 10 years.

@mmpadellan @cracraft_teresa I attended USC for 2 years when it cost $2000 per year and my father borrowed against his life insurance to cover my tuition. 38 years later my father was gone and I completed my education at UAA & UDel with $40K in student loans. Add another 22 years and I still owe $7516.

@Misty_E_Griffin I worked with CYS in PA and we taught our foster parents that they were mandated reporters of child abuse. PA has a dedicated call-in service, Child Line, that takes the info and contacts the CYS in the county in question. CYS personally addresses each reported incident.

@thejackhopkins My mother taught me there are 3 kinds of words. (1) Ordinary words, (2) words that used to make little old ladies blush and (3) words whose only purpose is to denigrate others. I learned to use (2) as needed and to never use or even think (3). “If you think it you may use it.”

@LakotaMan1 Absolutely. My daughter’s best childhood friends are both Tlingit. One is Eagle Clan, the other is Raven Clan. Although we no longer live in Alaska, we have remained in close contact with both of them. We care for and about natives.
