THE PLACE OF OUR NEEDS IN PRAYER
It Is Not “Unspiritual” To Bring The Needs Of The Body Before The LORD, For Indeed, He Knows Our Frailties And Is Attentive To Our Concerns. However, The LORD Guarantees The Meeting Of Our Physical Needs Only When They Are Brought Into Harmony With HIS Sovereign Will.
In Today’s Expressions of FAITH, Many Seek answers for Physical Needs without first asking, “Is this aligned with GOD’S intent?” Therein lies the problem prayers detached from the will of God. The Accurate Model of Prayer, on the other hand, acknowledges both Need and Submission to GOD’S purpose.
Prayer Does Not Seek To Bend GOD To Our Desires, But Rather To Bend Our Desires To HIS Eternal Will.
In A Time Where Many Are Taught To Believe That Every Personal Desire Will Be Met Without Question, We Must Return To The Truth: Faith Is Not Proven By The Number Of Prayers Offered, But By The Depth Of Surrender Within Them. The Cross Of CHRIST Demands That Our Requests Be Purified And Conformed To GOD’S Plan, For Only Then Do They Carry The Weight Of Heaven’s Endorsement.
This Is Where Prayer Transcends Mere Words And Becomes A Divine Exchange. Our Wants Are Laid Down Upon The Altar Of Submission, And Only Those That Are In Agreement With The KING’S Purpose Rise As A Fragrant Offering Before The Throne.
Faith, Therefore, Is Not The Assertion Of Human Will, But The Yielding To GOD’S Sovereignty. The Reality Of Our Faith Is Found In This Very Act Where The Kingdom Of GOD Takes Precedence Over Personal Desire, And Where The Power Of GOD Is Manifest Through Prayers That Have Been Refined By HIS Will.
Thus, Before Any Man Seeks Provision, Let Him First Be Sure That His Request Has Been Sanctified By A Heart That Is Aligned With The LORD’S Desire. For It Is Only In This Surrender That Faith Moves From Mere Belief To True Experience, And The Promise Of GOD Is Released In Power.
Nigerian students have been at a standstill for 7 whole months.
That's an academic year wasted, a whole year of our lives.
Personally, I am tired and the only thing keeping my head above the water is the word of God!
