Im starting to realize, there is an artistic eye, then a consumer eye. Both see different things and i have not been training my consumer eye. I do things that can make other artist go ohhhh but goes over the consumer.
/because I wanted an out to just end it if I reached a boiling point. But at this point im so mentally exhausted at the mental gymnastics I had to do in order to understand what exactly they wanted... Its not worth it. Good bye, hope you enjoyed the art to some extent. Whatever~
When someone commissions you a few times, and each time they are the most frustrating experience I've ever had being commissioned... at this point I am not even gonna ask for the money. I like don't want to interact or work with you anymore.
I didn't ask for it at the start/
I always believed if you like an artist you go to them for their artistic vision. Ughhhh!!!!!!!!! Please if you have gone through this, am I over reacting? Is there something im not getting?
-Little Rant-
From all the years of commissions I've done, for the first time in my career I can't believe I've been asked to just do it like the example.
I understand people have preferences and all that but if you want a specific art style, why are you coming to me?
It's not like I can't copy a style but I am not in the business of selling other peoples art! I don't know, maybe im over reacting but it's just so frustrating that they came to me after seeing my art and after making the rough they go, "can you do it like the ref?"
