After being asked multiple times, I decided to review this homemade coffee jelly. It was a very pleasant dessert, the nutty notes from the high quality coffee used worked very well with the milk. His knowledge of coffee and choice of beans really enhanced the flavour.
Today I had sake manju and whilst the dough was soft and the bean paste was of good quality, there is still this unnaturally perfect taste that is off putting.
This tonkotsu ramen in theory is flawless.
And yet, I find this perfection to be quite superficial. It may taste good, but the dish lacks any passion leading to the flavour having little to no depth.
Perhaps perfection is overrated if it destroys the character this dish once had.
Today I decided to have nikuman! The filling was absolutely delicious and the with the outside perfectly soft. This was a delightful snack for the winter.
Stay tuned for new interviews at the TV station next week!
Smooth and silky but with a delicately balanced flavour between sweet and salty. This chawanmushi was absolutely delicious and perfect for the colder weather!
Whilst not food, after a very busy and shocking turn of events these past few days, I found the time to relax at a coffee shop and the drink was perfect!
It was a shame though that my preferred establishment to drink coffee from was not open.
Today I went to get crepes with someone who’s also in the public eye and had highly recommended this local stand. The filings were high quality and overall this was certainly a delicious treat!
I wonder if you can guess from this photo who accompanied me?
Happy Halloween! To celebrate I had some Halloween themed cookies! There seemed to be a lot of care and thought that went into these and they were delicious. This cookie in particular certainly has an odd but charming design.
After an exhausting day I decided to eat a slice of a St. Honoré cake! The different creams were made very well with the bitter taste of chocolate helping balance the sweetness of the overall dessert and cake itself wasn’t dry at all making the treat delicious.
Sweet, fluffy and moist, this strawberry shortcake is as a delight to have at Miel et Crêpes! The fruit was ripe and fresh and the cream filling was the perfect texture.
Today I decided to have caramel flan! The smooth, creamy texture was perfect and the bittersweet taste of the caramel sauce is perfect for those who enjoy desserts a little less sweet.
Today I tried some delicious freshly steamed momiji manju! The leaf designs were expertly done and the custard filling was made to a high quality. I highly recommend for those who enjoy steamed treats on the sweeter side.
On this rainy evening I decided to try some ramen in a restaurant at Ogikubo and it was absolutely delicious! The noodles were perfect and the flavour was deep and rich.
