Ron DeSantis is the most effective governor in the country, turned a swing-state into a red state, and uniquely marries Donald Trump's fighting spirit with a discipline and focus on effective governing that Trump doesn't have. He would be a terrific president. Better than we deserve.
But in order to be president, one must win the nomination. DeSantis did not and could not because Republican voters are treating Trump as an incumbent and this cycle as perfunctory.
I wish that weren't the case, but I understand why it is. Trump proved his case in Iowa, and DeSantis is right to bow out in the face of that evidence. This was a once-in-a-century primary, and it's now effectively over.
I think some elements of MAGA are unduly vile toward Nikki Haley - maybe the best UN Ambassador the country ever had. But she's not going to be the party's nominee, and she shouldn't be.
It's time for everyone to take a week to nurse all of the hurt feelings that come with primaries and then get to work defeating the left. It's going to take every single vote we can muster to make that happen.
2024 is going to be the most difficult election in modern American history. The left will do everything in its considerable power to prevent this from being a fair contest. It will take nothing short of God's grace to keep the republic from unravelling completely between now and the inauguration in 2025.
Donald Trump is a deeply flawed man.
I hope he wins all fifty states.
@DrShayPhD If he's paying rent, then he sets his own time. Otherwise just be couteous and let me know if you're going to be out late. No big deal.
But if he's not paying rent, he's not living in my house at 26 years old either
If people are not happy with SCOTUS ruling, the option to change the Constitution is there. It's called an amendment. How come none of those unhappy want to go this route??? Could it be because they know the American people won't support their changes?
