La ilaha illallah (There is no God, but One) means freedom, and the Holy Quran designates the highest rank after (God’s) messengers to martyrs. The positions of Syed Hassan Nasrallah and Ismail Haniya are very high (in the eyes of God) as they sacrificed their lives in the defense of their countries. I would rather be martyred fighting for my country like Tipu Sultan, than die like Bahadur Shah Zafar. I have always prayed to God for a death like Tipu Sultan’s.

God created man free. There is a famous quote by Rumi: “ When God has given you wings, why do you crawl like insects?”

In Pakistan, at this time, the Gang of Three, along with PDM, have colluded to make every state institution their slave. The Supreme Court is the only institution left, and now they are trying to subjugate that as well through unconstitutional amendments. Pakistan has no rule of law anymore, and there is no accountability. The Gang of Three has broken every law to get extensions (in their tenure), the most (adverse) impact of which has been on the economy.

All those in power now have their wealth stashed abroad, so they are mercilessly destroying the country’s institutions for their personal gain and power.

My Pakistanis!

All my efforts have been to liberate you, so now it is time that you break the shackles of fear and come out (for your rights). It’s time to Do or Die! I have made this sacrifice only for your liberty, so now is the time for you to think beyond your personal interests and come out at every call for protest for the sake of the country’s future.

Congratulations to Pakistan's Olympic flag bearer Arshad Nadeem for an absolute brilliant javelin performance winning a gold medal for Pakistan.

His persistence & perseverance has done him & the nation proud. It is the first time any Pakistani has won an individual gold for athletics in the Olympics. He is an inspiration for our younger generation.

Witnesses were not allowed to be presented, lawyers weren’t heard, and a completely biased judgement from a biased judge has been given.

A doctored decision against former Prime Minister & the most popular leader of Pakistan has been issued for no crime committed .. while the real corrupt continue to rule and move freely.

We have known him for 70 years! He is an honest man !

The case is not of corruption, it’s a case filed by the Election Commission for “mis-declaration” in a return filed to the election body while he was Prime Minister.

He clearly filed his tax return and mentioned everything in there ! This is biased , complicit judged with out a free trial given to him ! He tried to present his witness he was nt allowed ,

He is honest man we hv known him for 70 years ! why out of sudden he became dishonest in eyes of establishment , because he only wanted rule of law in pakistan which serves people of pakistan who lives under poverty line .

Javeria Siddique, wife of slain journalist Arshad Sharif, has urged @ElonMusk to mark her husband's Twitter as a legacy account as Arshad Sharif Twitter account unfollowed everyone and his family has no access to it.

In her tweet, Javeria wrote that her husband was brutally killed in Kenya on October 23, last year. He was a fearless investigative journalist and fled Pakistan after he was booked in false cases of treason and sedition.

"In Nov 22 his all social media passwords has been changed and i was removed from admin role. Someone is using his twitter account and deleting his work. Un followed people yesterday he was following. Pls take action and mark his Twitter as legacy account", @javerias tweeted.

سویڈن پولیس کی جانب سے ایک گھناؤنے فعل کی اجازت دیے جانے کے بعد سویڈن میں قرآنِ پاک کو نذرِ آتش کئے جانے جیسے (اسلام اور شعائرِاسلام کیخلاف) نہایت نفرت انگیز (اسلاموفوبک) اقدام کی شدید مذمت کرتا ہوں۔

بےجا نفرت و تعصّب پر مبنی اس حرکت کا دنیا بھر میں مسلمانوں کو گہری چوٹ پہنچانے اور انہیں غصّہ و اشتعال دلوانے کے علاوہ کوئی مقصد نہیں۔

سویڈن کی حکومت اقوام متحدہ کی جنرل اسمبلی کی قرارداد (جو ذیل میں فراہم کی گئی ہے) پر نگاہ دوڑائے اور اس امر کا احساس کرے کہ آزادئ اظہار محض دوسروں کیلئے تکلیف و آزار کا سامان کرنے کی مطلق آزادی کی ہرگز اجازت نہیں دیتا۔

آرٹیکل 9 سمیت یورپی یونین ہیومن رائٹس کنونشن پوری صراحت سے یہ واضح کرتا ہے کہ ایک فرد (شہری) کیلئے کوئی آزادی بھی کامل/مطلق (Absolute) نہیں۔

Strongly condemn the hate-filled Islamophobic crime of burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden - a loathsome act sanctioned by the Swedish police.

Such a hate-filled act serves no purpose beyond causing anger and deep hurt to Muslims across the world.

Swedish govt should recall the UNGA Resolution (see below) and also realise that freedom of speech in no way allows absolute freedom simply to cause hurt to others.

No freedom for one individual is absolute - as made clear also in the EU Human Rights Convention including in Article 9.
