I was just so happy I had remembered those plushies. I think about that evening a lot. She looked so relieved. I hope that kid loved the plushies, and I hope it made both their Xmas. <3 <3 <3

My last tweet is going to be a wholesome story from a few years ago. I was working at a Michael's craft store, and it was a few days before Xmas. A lady called asking if we had Elf on the Shelf. I replied that we only had his accessories, but not the doll himself.

She was disappointed. At the last second I remembered the store did have some knock-off elf plushies for like $1 a piece. She came in like 1/2 an hour later and bought almost all of them that were left. Turns out her kid had become obsessed with elves, so this was perfect.
