“I don't know why Peter Obi can't call his supporters to order. Because we are not going to allow anyone to destroy anybody’s image in our party”.
- DICKSON
"The things Peter Obi says these days are continually exposing him. If you listen to him in interviews, you see a man who is struggling to show that he's intelligent"

Awolowo was not merely Gowon’s Finance Minister.
He was also the Deputy Chairman of the FEC, the closest equivalent today would be V.P Kashim Shettima, but Awolowo held an additional Finance portfolio.
He stabilised the economy and helped keep Nigeria financially afloat without resorting to massive external borrowing or devaluing the currency.
The World Bank estimated real GDP growth averaged roughly 5.5% annually during the 1967–70 war period, followed by a strong post-war recovery.
Gowon himself credited Awolowo’s financial management with helping Nigeria finance the war while maintaining monetary stability and limiting external debt.
Awolowo resigned in 1971, leaving behind an economy recording about +5.2% real GDP growth.
1967: real GDP −12.1%
1968: −1.5%
1969: +15%
1970: +17.5%
1971: +5.2%
Then came 1972.🥲
Shagari took over as Finance Minister and Nigeria’s real GDP growth fell into a somewhat recession with a negative GDP growth of -7.3%, followed by another −1.9% contraction in 1973, before the oil boom drove a recovery in 1974.”
In 1979, Shagari went on to become President of Nigeria 🇳🇬 defeating Awolowo.
Politics is truly a strange game.😅
Nigerians 🤦🏾♂️

**IBB fooled MKO & even took him to his office to say-'Basorun, this will be ur office as President'.
**IBB told Abiola to pick a Christian from Adamawa as running mate so that he would lose. MKO was smarter cuz he was told that candidate couldn't win his own ward so he picked Kingibe. So, they wanted Tofar?

“WE HAVE REMAINED ON THE GROUND FOR 35 YEARS” — OKUN PEOPLE DEMAND INTEGRATION INTO YORUBA REGION
“We are Yoruba speakers and we are known as the Okun people. Our root is in Yorubaland. Our root is in Ile-Ife. We emanated from Yorubaland, and now that Yoruba is rising again, Okun people want to rise with Yoruba. We don’t want to remain on the ground.
For 35 years, we have remained on the ground. No son or daughter of Okun land has become governor of Kogi State, despite the rotation of power among the major groups in the state.
Our development has also been hampered because we are neither here nor there. Our language is far apart from Igala and Ebira, yet we are expected to function within the same political structure.
Okun people are hardworking, just like the people of the Yoruba Region where we actually belong. We are here because we want a sense of identity, development and constitutional restructuring.
We cry to the Yoruba Region to embrace us. We have made them understand our plight. We want to rise with Yoruba.”
— Dr. Mrs. Tọ́ba Òjó, Yeye Akorede of Okorogbẹdẹ, Ijùmú LGA, Kogi State
An Igboman said he has bought a gun to start attacking the Yoruba people because Yorubas are their problem, since a Yoruba man is the president and their Igbo man lost. “Sore losers.”
This Benin woman quickly let them know that YORUBAS ARE LIKE ROCK,
“OLUMO ROCK.”
