Remembering a true legend 🕊️
For generations of anime fans, Eric Legrand’s voice became inseparable from some of anime’s most legendary heroes and rivals.
His powerful performance as Vegeta captured the Saiyan prince’s pride, rage, and emotional evolution perfectly, while his role as Seiya helped introduce countless fans to classic anime during the golden era of French and European television dubbing.
Beyond anime, Legrand also had a long career in dubbing films, cartoons, and television, becoming one of the most recognizable voices in French entertainment.
Fans are now paying tribute online, thanking him for the unforgettable childhood memories and emotional performances that shaped an entire generation of anime viewers.
He passed away on this very day just last year at the age of 66, but his voice will continue to live on in the characters he helped bring to life.
Rest in peace, Eric Legrand 🕊️
