What you write
is a window into your soul,
of course
one sentence cannot
contain all of you,
but your true essence
still comes thru,
even though other parts
remain hidden in the margins,
so I stand before you
naked and unashamed,
this is me,
who are you?

and no one heard

but i still wrote
and my heart felt well

what is the lesson of the fall?
what do the dancing leaves reveal?

ahh, you cannot always stay in bloom
show your colours and then let go

X can be like family
to those without family

or the family is too shy
to say anything at all

so better to have more interesting
relatives
who actually say what they are thinking

unscripted, offensive and hopefully human

I don't seem to know anything
at all
I don't know why all nations

As the Cameron Lake wildfire continues on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, ash falls on Qualicum Beach and areas.

Air quality is very low.

If there was a way for me to volunteer to help with this BC wildfire ( human-caused fire), I would.

Thoughts are with all the firefighters, evacuees and animals…

Our forests are breathtakingly beautiful, and this fire is too close to Cathedral Grove, too scary.

I’m praying for rain and no wind…

as salt water descends around them
shipwrecks dotting final flails

beacons maybe, hope in the tumult
of self preservation
