Community noticed instantly. Andy has publicly said fees create fewer perverse incentives than other models, and any royalties go toward real work (staff, projects, etc.). This wasn’t random. It’s part of the same “write collective hyperstitions, fund hopeful projects” ethos he’s been preaching.

Maybe I’m wrong.

Maybe I’m early.

But personally, I still think solana:C4AYNMP4Hor2fNkLSkatgN8DuLfQRepGJpAVBhHUz5Ak should comfortably be a 7 figs project.

It’s sitting around $400k mc, and I still think the market hasn’t fully priced in what they’re trying to build.

Perpad is experimenting with an entirely different model: creator fees → perp treasury → buybacks & burns.

Will it work at scale?

I don’t know.

But I do know that it’s one of the few projects I’ve seen recently that is actively building in public, shipping features, fixing problems openly, and continuing to expand the vision.
