Imagine standing in the year 1700. If I told you humans could build a space rocket, would I be right or wrong?
This fascinating paradox was recently posed by @Klarna CEO @klarnaseb, amid ongoing debates about his company's plans to replace workers with AI. His point: humans had the same capable brains we have today and all the raw materials existed, yet these achievements lay centuries in the future.
This paradox perfectly captures our current moment with AI. The headlines swing between AI utopian promises and dystopian warnings, but we might be getting ahead of ourselves.
Just as our ancestors in 1700 needed to build the infrastructure, knowledge, and systems that would eventually enable modern technology, today's AI requires an entire ecosystem to reach its true potential.
This reveals two critical paths forward: Yes, we need to keep advancing AI models and computation (as seen with @OpenAI's o3). But more importantly, we need to build the infrastructure ecosystem - from specialized hardware and power plants to software libraries and human interfaces.
The real opportunity isn't simply automating existing jobs. That would be like using early industrial machines to replicate manual crafting, rather than enabling entirely new classes of goods like automobiles.
We're at the beginning of being able to achieve things we couldn't before - just as the industrial revolution did centuries ago.
Or is Sebastian simply softening his AI replacement stance due to the media storm? 😏
@PoojaMedia Why u dey drag am after u Don walk am out of your class? Na your pikin?.... you step out of the place of authority the moment you pit your hands on your subordinates. You can't predict the reaction.
🚨PS. I don't support violence of any type🙏🏾
@ONsogbu There was a clear display of recklessness on the part of the officer. He could have pulled his weapon and ordered the assailant to release his victim and drop his weapon. Shooting wildly like that could have injured or killed the victim too
@Joguns008@ONsogbu Yes the assailant was armed. There was no attempt to arrest him, hence no issues of resistance of arrest.
He was violently assaulting a woman and was a threat to her.
@brutalfightz This is DISGUSTING AND SHAMEFUL. shame on the adults who did this. They just set up this kids for defilement and and kids involving in sex, they will find a way to do the real thing somehow. It's sad
@NaelJanahi@GoinCrazyFights This is my question exactly. Your friend probably wooed him. There's no way an 18yr old will walk up to his mom's no-nonsense friend and flirt with hernot even talk bout sleeping with her
@SERGNEVADA @LiliNBC5 @NBCDFW U can see the two trucks with similar.make and colors and if u turn up your sound u can hear the loud conversation from a distance. That was probably a neighbor's security cam footage
