Yes — we call this recess the “small eyes.” According to the official standardization documentation, the Type 56 and Type 56-1 share the same configuration: they use the same fire selector and the same receiver cover.
The Type 56-2, however, has its own unique “small eyes” design, and both its fire selector and receiver cover are different from the other two models.
I’ve looked at @AkrivaAirsoft products, and they are manufactured strictly in accordance with the details specified in the standardization documents.
The photo shows a Type 56-2 produced by Factory 386 in 1982 — the second year after the Type 56-2 was officially standardized. The Type 56-2 itself was also standardized at Factory 386.
