The lab crew is back after winter break. It was time to reveal the secret Santa and celebrate last year's wins. As the day progressed, lab pictures got messier, but the smiles got bigger. Cheers to this wonderful team & looking forward to a wonderful 2026.
💯💥Cheers to our success..!!
A year that gav many firsts to us!! #grateful 2025😇 #hopeful 2026 as the team hops to revolve around the sun once again and shine✨️
After long days, failed experiments, and patient persistence, this year reminded us why we stay.
The work found its voice—through publications, recognition, and shared wins. #grateful, #proud, and filled with hope as we step into the new year. #HappyNewYear2026 to all of you.
Pleased to share our new publication in @bioprotocolbyte, where we describe a detailed method for generating the progressive #Mouse model of Parkinson’s disease. Congratulations to @Santhosh_subs for his first publication. https://t.co/hby5RNHJMq
4 days of exciting neuroscience comes to an end🧠✨️ #IAN2025. Filled with interesting talks, cool attendees & a busy poster session interactions made it a great learning experience✨️ & the learning journey continues...
@IndAcadNeurosci very well organized by @RGCB_Trivandrum
I am delighted to have received the D. M. Kar prize 2025 for the best paper presented at annual IAN meeting held at RGCB, Thiruvananthapuram. Thanks to @IndAcadNeurosci for opportunity, my mentor @poonam_thakur6 for shaping me and lab members #IISERTVM.
@Santhosh_subs, gave a fantastic talk showcasing our lab's work on a SynFib model at #IAN2025. Volume of audience clap showed what a 👌 job he did. Proud mentor moment.
Our lab @tvmiiser is seeking energetic #PhD candidates (CSIR/DBT/ICMR JRF) to work on cutting-edge #Parkinson disease research spanning the molecular and translational aspects. DM/email to know more. Details here https://t.co/XJpuMcOAdN. RTs appreciated.
New preprint alert! Using a cross-species #lipidomics of α-synuclein PD mouse model to patient plasma—we uncover shared lipid signatures linking brain and periphery in #ParkinsonsDisease. https://t.co/HBpREBnXfg
A rare moment when hope becomes reality✨️✨️gratitude✨️✨️ The one-day symposium organized by @csit_iisertvm was indeed inspiring! Cheers to more interdisciplinary science meetings👩🔬

Congratulations to @Akshaya_cgr for winning Best Flash Talk at the i2-ChemBioMat Symposium (CSIT @IISERTVM)! In just a short span—first paper published, author interview @bipatrika, and now this award. A stellar start to her research journey. @bio_iisertvm#WomenInScience
Thank you @biopatrika for providing the platform to share a part of my research journey published @ACSChemNeurosci 👩🔬 it's been a nice journey so far with guidance from @poonam_thakur6 & support from my dear colleagues @bio_iisertvm 🩵 Thanks to @DBTIndia for the scholarship ✨️
Very thankful to my mentor @poonam_thakur6 for the opportunity to work on this fascinating project & for the continuous support & guidance!✨Huge thanks to all my lab mates, peers, friends & family for the suggestions & encouragement-this wouldn’t have been possible without you💙
🚨🎉 First paper alert!
Very excited to share Thakur ND lab's & my first research article #justpublished in @ACSChemNeurosci !! We uncover how glycated α-synuclein alters structure & drives early #ParkinsonsDisease pathology in vivo https://t.co/etM1xZ2pyJ
Our study strengthens the causal link between enhanced glycation driven by hyperglycemia (#diabetes) & increased risk of Parkinson’s. This highlights the importance of metabolic health in neurodegeneration.
Thanks to @group_vv for help with the NMR studies & to all co-authors!
