For a relationship to truly work in real life, you have to accept that you and your partner are two different individuals..shaped by different backgrounds, experiences, and ways of seeing the world…coming together to build one future. That alone requires patience, grace, and deep understanding.
You won’t always think alike, feel the same, or see things from the same perspective—and that’s normal. Differences don’t mean something is wrong; if handled well, they become an opportunity for growth.
In reality, you’ll notice a pattern: you meet someone you’re attracted to, but they lack sense. You find someone who has sense, but they can’t communicate. You meet a good communicator, but they struggle with trust. You find someone who trusts you, but they’re nonchalant. Then the one who isn’t nonchalant may not even have a clear future. It starts to feel like something is always missing.
That’s where understanding the 80/20 rule comes in. If your partner is 80% right for you, chasing the missing 20% in someone else will only lead you in circles. Even if it’s 70/30 or 60/40, the principle still stands…there’s no perfect person anywhere. What matters is that the good clearly outweighs the bad.
At the end of the day, it’s not always about who is right or wrong, but how you handle the moments when things don’t align. Do you listen or just react? Do you seek to understand, or are you only trying to be heard? Do you choose communication over ego?
Healthy love isn’t about perfection or agreeing on everything…it’s about respecting each other enough to work through your differences, protect what you have, and keep choosing each other even when it’s not easy. That’s where real love shows up.
1. Don’t ever make plans for money that has not entered your account. Until you receive a credit alert, it is not real.
2. When you have money, buy things in bulk. Cook in bulk and grocery shop in bulk. Buy everything you need in doubles. It will cost more now, but it will save you money later.
3. Make it a habit to buy at least one piece of clothing every month, even if it is just a shirt, cap, or pair of pants.
4. Learn to tell people no without feeling guilty or having to explain yourself, especially those you don’t go to when you are in need.
5. Womanizing is the easiest route to going back to zero. It has little to no ROI. Do not invest in it.
6. Whenever you want to make an impulse purchase, wait another 24 hours. If you still need it after that time frame, go ahead with it.
7. Always fill your gas, and keep cooked soup and stew in your fridge. This will save you on rainy days.
8. Other people’s emergencies are not yours. You might be dipping into your savings for someone who has locked theirs away for other purposes.
9. Decline invites that will hurt your budget. Sometimes, it is better to send a small token than to go out of your way to attend an event.
10. Don’t ever use shame to chest billing. If you attend to every touching story, soon enough it will be your own story that is touching. Be frugal; it is hard to find help out there.
10 things every man must have:
1. A personal house. Rented or built, it does not matter. Have your own space.
2. A signature perfume. Stop switching fragrances every other week. Pick one that represents you and own it.
3. A personal laptop.
4. A pair of corporate shoes. How you show up matters.
5. A reliable fashion designer. Someone you can call at any time and they will deliver. No excuses.
6. An adviser. Someone you can run to when things get tough and trust to tell you the truth, not what you want to hear.
7. A real friend. One who, if you call at 2am, will show up without question. If you do not have one, stop blaming others and look inward. You might be the problem.
8. A savings account with at least 1 million naira in it. If you are not there yet, that is your target. Get to work.
9. A reliable data connection. You cannot function in today's world without it.
10. A personal clipper. Your appearance is your responsibility.
Above all, love God.

“Rio once told me, ‘Watch his left hand, not his foot.’ That’s how Becks bent a ball to his will. One swing, ball had no choice. The foot was just the trigger. Some players learn the game… others make the game learn them. Beckham was that guy”
Before dating any woman,
I asked my mom what I should look for in a woman.
I thought she would say:
Low body count
No guy friends
Don’t go to clubs
But instead she said this:
You can’t do life alone, this isn’t even about having a partner. The value of support from genuine people cannot be overemphasized. Have good friends, kind friends, the ones that won’t be counting scores but will love you genuinely. Pray for good people in your life!
“The secret to success is the ability to fail, lose, wanting to quit but still having the passion, the hunger and the desire to beat all of those….”
