But now, he should put duty aside try to find something he actually wants to do, hard as it is (and people know it is VERY hard)

If they had let the team do their job instead of butting in then maybe we would all be discussing how great Veilguard is, instead of criticizing it. Also, this was supposed to be a finale. Removing choices made no sense

@amplified_giuly @mattrhodesart I think it would have been hard since the HoF is the only hero that can canonically be dead, so either they put a stand in or cut it since it could not base the plot on it, but honestly, if Veilguard had choices from the previous games I'd be far less critical of it than I am

But at the same time it's hard not to be bitter after the set up Trespasser made and then waiting 10 years only to have a game that shrinks or even strips many traits that made Dragon age games unique. Also, DA2 shows they COULD make great games in little time
