If they ban or regulate open source AI, that is the danger. Scam Altman and Dario Amodei want to build a big moat around AI and keep you paying for ever-restricted access to hamstrung models, while they sell access to the leading edge to governments and other corporations.

Imagine if we never had a personal computer revolution and everything still relied on mainframes and thin terminals. That's what they want to do to AI, and the first step is to scare you shitless, making completely baseless and histrionic claims about how AI will kill you if you don't let *them* take the keys and hide them from you.
