Everton had a plan for all Arsenal players except one small boy, who despite being on the match of the day squad, they thought he didn't matter.They had Kai on check! Noni under their radar. Bukayo in their pocket.

They had plans even for bench warming Viktor Gyökores and Gabriel Martinelli. They just never thought it was worthy to worry about a 16-year lad.

Here is to appreciate how organised the Toffees were, but we should never forget that they blundered big time by not preparing for Max Dowman.

When that boy got on the pitch, they could not contain him. They didn't know how to mark him. He was just too much for them. They couldn't understand him. He ruled and reigned over them. Dribbled past them.

Unfortunately for Everton, by the time they were knowing about Max Dowman, he already had a goal and a goal contribution, and a man of the match performance. That was a brilliant substitution from Mikel!
