The United States House of Representatives has passed legislation allowing for permanent year-round E15 (H.R. 1346) by a vote of 218-203, thereby lifting the outdated restriction on summertime E15 sales—a restriction unrelated to the fuel’s safety or quality.
The U.S. House of Representatives on May 13 voted 218 to 203 to approve the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailers Choice Act. The bill aims to enable year-round E15 sales and revamp the RFS small refinery exemption (SRE) program.
