Kazuki Takahashi Would've Turned 65 Today 🥺

Happy heavenly birthday to the hero and Yu-Gi-Oh! Creator Kazuki Takahashi! 🎂🕊️

Kazuki Takahashi created far more than a manga series he built the world of Yu-Gi-Oh! Introducing Yugi, the Millennium Puzzle, Shadow Games, and the duels that would eventually become a worldwide phenomenon.

What began as Yugi’s mysterious connection to an ancient Egyptian puzzle grew into unforgettable rivalries, monsters, friendships, and battles that defined a generation of manga, anime, and card-game fans.

4 years ago, Takahashi passed away at the age of 60 after reportedly entering rough waters in Okinawa to help during a rescue involving three people caught in a rip current. He did not survive, but his final act is remembered as one of courage and selflessness.

Takahashi’s imagination transformed a story about games into a universe that continues through cards, anime, video games, tournaments, and generations of fans around the world.

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Kazuki Takahashi. The heart of the cards and the world you created continues to live on. 🃏✨🕊️

@Stargazinlove She enjoyed how fluffy soft & warm Kitty’s tail was & was trying to help her stay warm & toasty! (That aside, she definitely went about it in a very Burnice-esque way, poor Pulchra did not need a singed tail…)

@eremika_19 Is he really in restraints? Or are we merely under the influence of his Kyōka Suigetsu?

[Barack Obama @BarackObama]

If you were young in 2001, or weren’t even born yet, it can be hard to imagine what 9/11 felt like. The shock of that beautiful, cloudless morning. The heartbreak of the families whose loved ones were taken with such swiftness and cruelty. The realization that the forces of malevolence and violence were closer, and the future less certain, than we knew.

But in the days that followed, we felt something else, too. Pride in the rescue workers who had rushed to the scene, and the passengers who had stormed the cockpit. Admiration for the men and women who left behind lives of comfort to serve their country. A deep resolve that nothing would break the will of a truly United States of America.

Today Michelle and I are remembering those we lost that day, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the wars that followed. We pray for their families. And we hope Americans everywhere remember the true lesson of 9/11: that we can survive even our darkest days as long as we move forward as one nation and one people.

@xStoneAngelx @Based_SpaceGoji What always gets me is that he was also Smokescreen in TF Prime as well, so I always thought it funny Nolan North voiced that one random Decepticon with the Nathan Drake death scream.

Really lovely video from @Hasbro to commemorate Peter Cullen (posted on IG)

[internet hall of fame @InternetH0F]

Peter Cullin's family says Peter passed away peacefully, and they left a message following his death:

“His family asks that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember, ‘be strong enough to be gentle.’”
